If static electricity builds up on process equipment, the energy content of a static discharge can be the cause of fire and/or explosions in ATEX environments.
Static grounding of objects and equipment prevents the build-up of electrostatic charges, and thus also prevents the potential danger.

Combining visual indication, interlocking capabilities, and two intrinsically safe monitoring circuits, the Earth-Rite Dual Grounding System (DGS) system is our latest solution for simultaneous grounding operations in hazardous area industries. The system is certified for the use in ATEX Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22.

The Earth-Rite DGS grounding system allows engineers, operators and HSE professionals to comply with international standards, guidance and recommended practices, as each ground monitoring channel ensures a resistance of 10 Ohms or less throughout the duration of the process as outlined in IEC TS 60079-32-1, NFPA 77 and API RP 2003.
