Goudsmit Magnetics has recently joined the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) being the first magnetic supplier. A consortium of equipment manufactures, food industries, research institutes as well as public health authorities. It was founded to promote hygiene during the processing and packaging of food products.

The company will introduce a new series of magnetic systems on the market which will fulfill all the EHEDG standards. For example, Goudsmit will introduce a recently developed fast-cleaning clean flow magnet that reaches a magnetic field of 10,700 Gauss on the bars in the product. The magnet system removes iron particles and weak magnetic particles from powdery substances (e.g. milk powder, sugar and flour). With the application of a new generation of Neoflux® magnets, it is also possible to capture weak magnetic particles such as 304 stainless steel. Because the grill of this new type of clean flow magnet can be drawn outwards via a rail, the magnet ensures a smooth operation and full safety (CE mark) for the operators. The casing is made of 304 stainless steel and the entire machine has a smooth finish (Ra≤0.8ų) thus complying with the HACCP/ EHEDG requirements.
