Safety In HETHON`s view, commercial interests should never take precedence over safety. ATEX, a term originally derived from the French name Atmosphères Explosibles. A word that refers to the European directives regarding explosion hazard. Certainly not something to deal with the proverbial French battle. Unfortunately, you see in the professional field too often that producers think that the well-known yellow sticker and the installation of EX electric motors only a safe product is produces and sell it for ‘ATEX’. At HETHON they take safe working seriously. This also applies to customers who come to them for ATEX dosing machines. First of all, the entire environment in which the Feeder and related equipment will be placed must comply with the applicable guidelines. That is up to the customer. New Maintenance Door at Extruder Gearbox Lantern
For more Efficiency in Compounding To further increase the efficiency of our compounders in daily operation, ZSK extruders can now be optionally equipped with an electronically secured maintenance door at the gearbox lantern. As soon as the screw shafts of the extruder come to a complete stop, service personnel can open the gearbox lantern without tools, guaranteeing secure, easy access to the screw shaft coupling. During maintenance, for example, this reduces the machine’s downtimes, thus again contributing to greater efficiency of ZSK extruders. The electronically secured maintenance door at the gearbox lantern is available for extruder sizes ZSK 32 and larger.

Fluid bed and spouted bed technologies from Glatt offer multiple benefits for food processing. Particles can be economically refined, functionalized and dried at the same time via spray granulation, spray coating or spray agglomeration (Fig. 1). Whether it’s protein shakes, vitaminized hot drinks or sugar substitutes like xylitol, maltitol and lactitol, instant powders with value-added ingredients need certain core characteristics. They must be easy to dose, quick to dissolve, non-clumping and low in dust; they mustn’t separate or leave residues in hot water or cold dairy or plant-based milk drinks, but they should make for a pleasant mouthfeel. These key properties, as well as low bulk density, can be achieved by using spray agglomeration in the fluid bed. The porous structure of agglomerated particles is what determines the wetting and solubility behavior, ease of use and, ultimately, the commercial success of an end product. Practical and well dispersed The new MasterMix® Dissolver is used for dispersing solids into liquids. The product is mixed in batches in an exchangeable tank. The dissolver is a fast, high-capacity disperser with a wide range of speeds and high level of efficiency. The product is accelerated radially by the dispersion disk, deflected to the top and bottom at the tank wall and directed back to the dispersion disk through formation of a vortex. Shear forces around the circumference of the toothed disk result in highly efficient dispersion, good wetting and de-agglomeration. For high-viscosity products, a tank wall scraping device can aid the mixing and dispersing process. with an accuracy of 1 gram Customers in the powder processing industry are constantly increasing their quality standards. As an engineer-to-order company with 45 Engineers, Dinnissen is capable of translating the biggest challenges into technically advanced and robust solutions. A good example is the recent innovation of the feeder valve. The original feeder valve is combining a very wide dosing range with short dosing time with a dosing accuracy of 100 gram. This dosing accuracy is sufficient for powder processing. Recently we received an inquiry for a specific application with a much higher dosing accuracy. The Dinnissen Engineering department developed a micro dosing system with an accuracy of 1 gram. The application can be for batch-weighing or for continuous weighing (loss in weight) for processing of vitamins, probiotics, premixes, minerals, milk powder, cacao powder, creamers, sugar, whey powder, lactose and infant formula. Safe rotary valve for toxic process gases
TBMA does not shy away from customisation Titanium dioxide can be produced in several ways. One of the methods uses chlorine gas. This gas is highly aggressive and dangerous to life. A rotary valve for this process must therefore meet extremely high requirements. A challenge for which TBMA has developed a smart and safe solution. Even stainless steel AISI 316 is not resistant to the yellow-green, very aggressive chlorine gas (Cl2) that is used for the production of titanium dioxide (TiO2). The installation components must therefore be manufactured from an even higher quality material. This also applies to the high-end, flameproof H-AR350 drop-through rotary valve from TBMA in the process. It is made from a very special alloy of (among others) nickel, chrome, molybdenum and niobium. This material has excellent resistance to various corrosive media - including chlorine gas - and is resistant to high pressure. Containment systems are primarily used for the safe handling of harmful or highly active substances. Handling such substances in closed systems not only reduces the amount of substance particles that escape into the surrounding environment to an absolute minimum, but it also stops unwanted foreign substances from entering and contaminating the production process. The new JEL SmartCon ES attachment system from Engelsmann for emptying big bags under containment conditions can be used up to OEB 4, which corresponds to a particle concentration in the surrounding environment of less than 10 µg / m3. Alongside the maximum possible Occupational Exposure Band (OEB), the operability is one of the most important criteria when it comes to procuring a containment system. As each manual operating step increases the risk of operating errors which can in turn cause a break in the containment. KEMP B.V. supplies 7 weighing systems which is located in the port of Antwerp KEMP B.V. supplies 7 weighing systems for Engie nuclear power plant Doel, which is located in the port of Antwerp, in collaboration with Rice Lake. The objective of this project is to accurately and reliably measure the level in 7 tanks containing radioactive water / sludge. The temperature of the sludge can reach 85 degrees and in space it can reach a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. The total weight per tank will be a maximum of 30 tons and with the weight measurement a display unit with a 4-20 mA signal for the control is supplied. Due to installation in a radiation environment, strict requirements are imposed on the components to be supplied. The result is that 4 loadcells, type RL42, are placed per weighing system. The FAT will take place in the Rice Lake test room in Heteren, for which the systems will be assembled, provided with customer coding and functionally tested with certified weights. Optimal safe (dis)assembly Early 2021, we assembled this DG350 drop-through rotary valve with extra spindle. The standard construction of our DG350 valve is extremely rugged: the bare shaft valve weighs 500 kg. Given the considerable weight of the rotor, we supply sizes larger than 300 with an extra spindle for optimal safe and smooth (dis)assembly. Tbma dg quick-Clean drop-through and blow-through rotary valves are specially designed for processes where frequent cleaning and inspection are required. The self-seeking spline shaft allows quick and easy remounting of the rotor after cleaning. Thanks to the clearance-free suspension and fixed adjustment, damage to the rotor tips and/or inside of the valve during (dis)assembly is limited to a minimum. In addition, the shaft seal cannot be damaged, since the spindle with spline remains in place when the rotor is pulled out.
